Hi. After contemplating for couple of days, God shown me this verse again and again.

Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

so based on this verse, i wrote my goals for 2009. ok, i bet ya did yours, but if you didn't, go and write it down now! =)

SPIRITUAL LIFE
- Bible reading (Let's finish up the new testament first ^^)
- Bring 2 people to church and seeing them receiving Christ.
- More equipped by bible study, at least 3 seasons.
- Fasting once a week.
- 15 people in my connect group by the end of this year.
- Raise 1 leader in my connect group.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS
- be more attentive, sensitive, caring and loving ^^

HEALTH
- Gain weight 2kgs.
- Exercise at least 2 times a week.
- Be more stylish ^^

EMOTIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL GROWTH
- Be more serious (its time to reduce my lame jokes to people around me =.=)

EDUCATION, INTELLECTUAL, PROFESSIONAL
- Minimal 3 A marks.
- No C or below that.
- Read inspirational and leadership books (once in 2 months).
- Have a good part time job, a secure one.
- Improve English, learn 1 word everyday.
- Learn Mandarin.
- Join at least 2 competitions.
- 10 minutes before rule.
- my own online portfolio by next February.
- go to national library at least once a month.

MATERIAL
- Financial stability.
- Fulfill building fund pledge by the end of April 2009.
- a hyper terminal desktop PC
- Wacom

LEISURE
- I wanna go home and treat myself a good food, good places to visit, good friends to meet at last but not least, meeting my family. that's more than enough for my leisure this year. i'll be back home on May 2009 ^____^

So comparing with my goals last year, i keep it simple, doable, but still i have to stretch my faith to achieve something greater this year. By gain experience thru working, reading books, join competitions will help me to enhance my talent.

i need to be ontime too. haih. bcos of this many things occured that i regreted T.T ok, this year gonna be better. financial stability, what ive been prayin for so long, i need to conquer this! lastly, i need to reduce all of my lame jokes, be more serious. i'll still be an active, sanguine and humorous cyndy, but i'll lower it down ^^

i hope i didn't missed anything. overall, from the verses i mentioned before, cyndy will do her best be the salt and the light. I'm the LIGHT OF THE CITY! uwouwoo!
